WORLD’S OLDEST CULTURES SHARING THEIR MODERN AUSTRALIAN DIVERSE STORIES FOR SCREEN AND GLOBAL AUDIENCES

Welcome to WRT, a strong creative alliance born from the oldest living cultures on Earth. We bring together Aboriginal and Indigenous voices to share stories that speak across generations, languages and oceans. Our work is rooted in Country, guided by community and driven by the belief that Indigenous stories belong not only in archives or museums, but in cinemas, on screens and in the hearts of audiences worldwide. From the deserts of Australia to the mountains of India and beyond, we connect cultures through film, honour traditions through truth telling and shape a future where First Nations stories are told by those who carry them.

MISSION STATEMENT

For millenia, Indigenous communities have shared their histories through song, dance, and oral tradition. In today’s screen-driven world, these stories face new threats from cultural erasure to exploitative representation. WRT was created to ensure that Indigenous peoples remain the custodians of our own narratives, while bringing these stories to a global audience that is ready to listen, learn, and be moved.

Our Stories, Our Way.
Because the only way to tell our stories...is in our own words.
